We humbly bow in respect of the Lord Almighty that has kept the Junior Achievers Club active in the mighty institution of Christ the King. We as the ‘O’ level students are glad to be the members of the club. We have got to learn how to create ideas, implement them and then run them within our environment successfully.
The Junior Achievers club has improved on our skills through workshops organized nationally and internationally, equipping us with creative skills which have changed our minds from seeking white collar jobs to self-employment. The club does not only favor the entrepreneurship students within the school, it also welcomes everyone because it is meant to nurture students to be job creators and not job seekers by using minimal capital to start up businesses.
The club has gone through many competitions and the last competition was online where 210 schools participated and three groups represented the school. One of the groups emerged the 6th and the other group emerged the 12th overall.
We have carried out numerous projects like reusing old jeans to new outfits, reusing calendars and newspapers for beads, making flower vessels on wine bottles using threads, making charcoal briquettes and charcoal lighters among the many projects.
It is because of team work, great leadership, concerned patrons and brilliant minds that this club has blossomed. As we continue with the works of the club our target this year is to make it to the international level of winning the competitions. Through the support from the administration, we know that we can fulfill our target this year on the proposed theme of the competitions. ”ACTION TO CLIMATE TRANSFORMATION” (ACT)
Furthermore, our club would not taste success to the online competitions of 2024 if the administration did not support us. We therefore appreciate the administration for the tireless efforts in sponsoring us for the events. We programme our minds and embrace creativity
