On March 28th 2026, my school held a Visitation Day which was also a day for exhibiting our talents in Music Dance and Drama (MDD). This was not only MDD exhibiting of talents but also serious competitions against different houses including Leopards (Red in colour), Kobs (Orange) Cranes (Blue) and Lions (Green). In our competitions, we had activities like Bible reading, essay writing, singing of set pieces, creative dances, folk song singing and Eastern dance.
Before we had commenced with the day’s activities, we had a Holy sacrifice of Mass in our school Chapel early morning to have Jesus as our lead car of the day. After the Holy Mass, the activities commenced. We began with an opening prayer and singing of anthems after our Guest of Honour of the day arrived. The activities started generally. In the course of the presentation, we had speeches from our dear Deputy Headteacher Mr. Kamugasa Robert Mark, our school Head teacher Rev. Sr. Nawangi Passy and the Guest of Honor.
He began by introducing himself as Mr. Mawejje George William, the Deputy RDC Kyotera District. After he had mentioned his name and title, he requested our Headteacher Rev. Sr. Nawangi Passy to introduce him in general. Our Headteacher introduced him as follows;
Mr. Mawejje George William was a Seminarian who never succeeded and later on started a family of very many children. He is a professional doctor who served the government for 12 years. He then became the councilor of Rakai District for 15 years and a Chairperson LC3 of Kalisizo Town Council for 15 years. He has a son called Dr. Kabanda Richard the Chairperson W.H.O of Africa. He had a son teaching at Christ the King SS Kalisizo, Mr. Kasibante, who was teaching Physics, Chemistry and Maths and later on was taken by the government to teach in another school since he was a government teacher. After all had been said, the Headteacher extended a microphone to him to give a speech.
He began by thanking our Headteacher for the general introduction and then gave his speech which started by giving a theme of the day saying “Okutumbula Obuyonjo”. The speech was full of empowering and encouraging words and statements. He then concluded by advising we the girls or ladies that we should not let fear let our back that the world is waiting for us and he also thanked the parents and teaching staff for giving support to the girl child and advised them to educate the girl child not for just today but for tomorrow.
After his speech, the activities resumed and later the results were out. This was the time when different houses took hold of each other of the same house not to faint in the course of announcements. No matter how fast the heart pumped blood, the announcements were to be announced and the results were;
Cranes House was in the forth position, Lions House in the third position, Leopards House in the second position and finally the champions of the day were the Kobs House. And that brought to an end the MDD exhibition and the commencing of the Visitation Day.
